The keynote presentation is by Khawar Qureshi KC, a Commercial Litigation and International Law Counsel with very extensive experience of multi-jurisdictional disputes. Before taking Silk in 2006 he was a UK Government “A” Panel Treasury Counsel who has advised State and commercial entities extensively on UK, EU and US sanctions, and has appeared in courts, as well as arbitral tribunals, all over the world including the BVI. A panel of eminent speakers will discuss practical consequences of sanctions in the BVI and other Caribbean / Offshore jurisdictions, and possible solutions. Questions and discussion will be welcome.
