BVI IAC & BVI Finance: Natural Synergies, Emerging Collaborations

The BVI International Arbitration Centre (BVI IAC) celebrates a series of potent collaborations with BVI Finance and the broader legal and financial services industry of the British Virgin Islands. These engagements, including our participation in the Asia and Guyana Roadshows, and the highly-acclaimed Fintech on the Seas, have been instrumental in expanding our reach, deepening relationships, and, most importantly, reinforcing BVI’s reputation as a commercially sophisticated, dispute-ready jurisdiction.

Asia, Expanding Our Reach in Key Markets

In Asia, we connected directly with government officials, financial service providers, and commercial leaders shaping the region’s investment and corporate structuring landscape. As part of a high-level delegation led by BVI Finance, we were able to position the Centre’s arbitration services as a trusted complement to the BVI’s broader financial offerings to the Territory’s premier geographic market. This integration of finance and dispute resolution resonated strongly and has opened several doors for future collaboration in the region.

Guyana, Building Relationships with Legal and Policy Leaders

Guyana offered a similarly engaged audience! Discussions with bar associations, legal practitioners, and policymakers highlighted the value of arbitration in supporting cross-border investment and commerce in this emerging economy. The roadshow built on the BVI IAC’s already expansive network of legal professionals and set the stage for sustained dialogue with stakeholders eager to explore the benefits of our services.

Fintech by the Seas, Pioneering Innovation at Home

Fintech by the Seas proved to be unprecedented and provided a timely platform to showcase how arbitration supports emerging sectors such as digital assets, smart contracts, and cross-border technology investment. Our participation in the Hector DAO focused panel discussion featuring Ronan Kuczaj, DLT Solutions, Christopher Pease, Harneys, and James Drury, Interpath underscored the importance of trusted dispute resolution in fast-evolving industries and allowed us to strengthen ties with the foremost local minds in business and financial technology.

A Word from Shan Greer, CEO of the BVI IAC

“Our team is proud and happy to have worked with BVI Finance alongside its sterling roster of leading global firms. The abundance of opportunities for synergy are truly exciting, not just with BVI Finance itself, but with the formidable legal and financial services experts who represent the very best of what the BVI offers to the world. We are thrilled at the prospect of deeper engagement and the resultant globally-leading solutions.” said Shan Greer, CEO of the BVI IAC.

Following these successful engagements, we have held productive meetings with BVI Finance to explore continued opportunities for joint outreach and sector-specific initiatives. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to promote the BVI’s strengths together.

We want to hear from you!
