Carita Wallgren-Lindholm is a Helsinki-based international arbitrator with over four decades of experience, beginning her career in Paris in the 1980s. She has acted in more than 120 international arbitrations, primarily as arbitrator and chair, across forums including SCC, ICC, FAI, LCIA, JCAA, DIA, PCA, ICSID, UNCITRAL, and NAFTA. Since 2012, her practice has focused exclusively on arbitration in commercial and investment disputes, alongside her training as a mediator. Previously, Carita chaired the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR (2018–2021) and was a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration (2012–2018). She is recognized as a leading arbitrator by Chambers Europe and Who’s Who Legal, which cites her as “the number one role model in the market.” Her work in arbitration has earned her national honors from the Finnish President and other institutions. Carita divides her time between Finland and Anguilla, B.W.I.
