Nicolas is the Co-Head of Dispute Resolution at CMS. He is based in California but also works from the CMS offices in Hong Kong and Germany. Nicolas acts as party representative and arbitrator with a focus on licensing and IP, joint venture as well as supply and distribution disputes, especially in the life sciences, technology and energy sectors. Having lived and worked in both civil law and common law jurisdictions, Nicolas is experienced in handling cases under both legal traditions. He has particular experience with arbitrations relating to Asia, the US and Europe. In addition to his counsel work, Nicolas has sat as arbitrator in close to 50 matters. He is on the panel of arbitrators of the world’s leading arbitral institutions.
