Louis B. Kimmelman is an independent arbitrator and New York-qualified lawyer with over 40 years of experience in international commercial, construction, and investor-state disputes. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), he has acted as counsel and arbitrator in disputes involving corporate and sovereign parties. Formerly co-leader of Sidley Austin LLP’s global arbitration practice, he also held senior roles at Allen & Overy LLP and O’Melveny & Myers LLP. Chair of the New York International Arbitration Center, he is widely recognized for his expertise, including rankings in Who’s Who Legal and Chambers Global. He is a Yale Law graduate.
