Peter Thorp is an independent arbitrator based in Paris with extensive experience in international arbitration. A former partner at Allen & Overy LLP, he served as Managing Partner of its Beijing and Shanghai offices from 2005 to 2011 before relocating to Paris. Since 2013, Peter has acted exclusively as an arbitrator, serving as Sole Arbitrator, Co-Arbitrator, and Chairman in numerous ICC, LCIA, CIETAC, HKIAC, SIAC, and UNCITRAL arbitrations. He is on the panels of leading institutions, including HKIAC, SIAC, and CIETAC. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and French, Peter is qualified in England and Wales, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and France.
