Dr. Walid Ben Hamida is a Professor of Law at the University of Lille and a leading arbitration expert with experience in nearly 50 commercial and investment cases under ICSID, ICC, OHADA, and ad hoc rules. He has acted as arbitrator, counsel, and expert under a wide range of laws, particularly in disputes across Africa and the Arab world. His sectoral experience includes energy, infrastructure, finance, construction, and M&A. A former member of the ICC Arbitration Court, he is listed with major arbitral institutions and serves on the ICSID Panel. Dr. Ben Hamida has authored over 150 publications and regularly lectures worldwide on international arbitration, trade, and investment law.
